Data Engineering

I bring your scattered data into one reliable source.

Data pipeline

What I build

Most businesses don't lack data - it's just scattered. Some sits in Excel, some in your accounting software, some in email, and some only in one employee's head. I gather it, clean it and turn that mess into a single source everyone can trust.

This package is also the foundation for Dashboards, Analytics & Forecasting: without solid data there's no solid report, dashboard or forecast. A pretty chart built on bad data just leads to a bad decision.

What's included

  • Data collection: pulling automatically from PDFs, Excel, websites, accounting and sales software, and email
  • Data merging: bringing different places and formats into one consistent order
  • Data cleaning: removing duplicates, fixing misspelled names, filling gaps, standardising units
  • Automated data flow: set up once, then it runs itself every day
  • A single source of truth: everyone sees the same number - the "your sheet says 4.2, mine says 3.9" argument ends
  • System interconnection: your programs talk to each other, so no more double entry
  • Order & security: where data lives, who can see it and how it’s backed up - written down

Who it's for

Right for you if you have plenty of company data but it's scattered across Excel files, PDFs and separate programs - and getting a single, trustworthy number out of it is a struggle.

What you get

What you walk away with.

One reliable source everyone trusts, instead of conflicting spreadsheets
Data flows in and updates itself every day - no manual rebuilds
Clean, consistent records: no duplicates, no mismatched units
A solid foundation for reliable dashboards and forecasts

In practice

Before and after.

Retail chain

Before

40 separate Excel files are merged by hand every Monday for a revenue report - half a day gone, with small errors each time.

After

The files are gathered, cleaned and written to one table every night, so the report is ready first thing Monday morning.

Wholesaler

Before

60 suppliers send PDF price lists in different formats each month; finding the current price means digging through old emails, and sometimes goods go out at the old price.

After

Incoming PDFs are read automatically into one current price table, so a supplier who raised prices is spotted the same day.

Multi-channel retailer

Before

Store, website and marketplace are tracked separately, so seeing total revenue and the true return rate takes days.

After

The three channels now merge in one place - total revenue, return rate and best-sellers are visible instantly.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Not at all. Connecting different programs and formats is exactly the point. I bring them into one order so your systems stop contradicting each other.

Usually, yes. Reports and forecasts are only as trustworthy as the data underneath them, so tidy data comes first. If yours is already clean, we can go straight to Dashboards, Analytics & Forecasting.
